Shopping for custom bridal gowns is typically a magical experience, culminating in tears of joy. But what happens when you bring that joy home, only for your fiancé to shatter it?
Bride Amanda experienced this exact nightmare. During her first visit to Kleinfeld, she said “Yes” to a massive, traditional ball gown. But just two days later, her fiancé Raymond dropped a bomb: “I hope it’s not a ball gown. Those are overrated.” Raymond made it crystal clear that he wanted to see his bride in something form-fitting, sexy, and curve-hugging. Devastated but determined, Amanda booked an emergency flight back to New York to buy a second reception dress just to “make up for it.”
The “Sorry Grandma” Dilemma
Amanda was on a strict mission: find a sexy off-the-rack wedding dress or a fitted gown that would make Raymond’s jaw drop. “I’m gonna let him pick out my silhouette,” she declared.
